The "High" Road.

by
Dean Gotcher

'Liberals,' turning the world upside down (right side up in their mind), think they are taking the high road when in fact it is the low. When caught for doing wrong, they can only see themselves as having done things badly—getting caught. In other words "the end justifies the means," i.e., "whatever it takes" to get the job done—just don't get caught, and if you do get caught, lie, lie, lie (smiling while you're doing it) until what wrong, i.e., "evil" you did (or are doing) is perceived as being right, i.e., "good."

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!" Isaiah 5:20, 21

"And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God." Luke 16:15

"The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes. For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful. The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good. He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil." Psalms 36:1-4

The only high road, which is true and good, is found in "Jesus Christ our Savior," in whom we receive "eternal life."

"For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."  Titus 3:3-7

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast."  Ephesians. 2:8, 9
